To become a competent professional geoscientist should have a good education and a strong interest in science. Biology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, engineering are very important to understanding of natural processes and reasons behind them.

Also you should have a solid knowledge of English language – it’s important to any respectable professional to be able to understand their colleagues and make themselves be understood in return.

Geoscientists’ outdoor laboratory is the whole Earth. It’s unique and helpful for any science, because geoscientists have opportunities to observe needed processes live. They apply their knowledge of factors and forces that shape our planet, and therefore try to anticipate the future and reconstruct the past.

Geologists study both the history and physical aspects of the earth.
